Colorful Handmade Geometric Leather Earrings in Progress!

I've been so lucky to have so many wholesale orders this month! This week I've been working on a wholesale order of my fun and colorful geometric leather earrings to Montana.  I love taking progress photos, I find that they're more engaging on social media and my blog than just posting the finished product.  Here's a peek at what I'm working on today.

Abstract Art Patterns Used In My Handmade Jewelry Designs - Original Artworks

Here are some really cool hand painted abstract patterns on leather.  I'm really enjoying creating patterns and combining them with my hand cut geometric designs.  I'm going to be using these patterns to create really fun statement jewelry. The fun part of painting leather is that it makes each piece even more unique, like wearing an original painting.  Each pattern cannot be reproduced exactly, so each one is one of a kind.

For now, I've got to get ready for the holidays! It's going to be a crazy busy season.

Handmade Leather Holographic Jewelry Wholesale Order

My wholesale order is almost complete! I'm just putting some finishing touches on the pieces.  I really love taking progress photos of orders I'm working on almost more than the photo of the final product! This is what my desk is looking like on this Saturday afternoon.  I have 3 other wholesale orders to complete as well as several individual orders.  Lots of work to do, not even to mention preparing for the holiday season, my busiest yet!

Lots of statement necklaces!

Preparing the holographic necklaces.

Almost done!

Another action shot!

And here's the final product!

Handmade Holographic Leather Tassels

I'm working on a really fun wholesale order of custom hologram leather jewelry.  It's one of my favorite leather hides I've found and is pretty rare.  I took some close up photos of the tassels I made for a bib necklace.  I love how iridescent the colors look in the light!

Abstract Art Painted Leather Key Chains in Progress - Womens Accessories

I loved how the order of custom key chains came out, so I had to make more for my shop! Here I am painting and preparing the leather to be hand sewn into key chains!

They're listed in the shop here:  shop.booandboofactory.com
Painting the leather is my favorite part!

The paint is drying and ready to be hole punched and hand sewn.

Lots of color!

Handmade Leather Key Chains off to Montreal!

I just finished up the order of key chains that are on their way to a lovely stockist Baba Souk.  These pieces were designed especially for her.  They are only available at Stephanie's shop and will not be sold anywhere else.  I'm really excited about how they came out.  They were a custom order.  The great thing about custom work is that it pushes me to create items I wouldn't normally make and helps me to expand my product lines.  Hooray!

Hand Painted Textile Abstract Art Patterns on Leather - Colorful Wallet and Card Holders

One of my favorite accessories to make are my leather wallets.  This is a new version, more of a card holder, featuring my original hand painted abstract art.  They are different from my pouches in that they don't have a button snap, they're meant to be a simple card holder leather wallet.  I love painting the patterns.  Soon after these beauties dry, I'll seal them and hand sew them with colorful waxed thread.  Then they'll be ready to list in the shop!

A beautiful mess.

The hand painted leather is drying while I pick out my waxed thread colors.

Still drying.

Now they're ready to punch holes and hand sew with waxed thread.

Lots of paint!

Pretty patterns.  My most favorite part of the process.
